A family work for a fantastic cuvée
Claude Courtil, his wife Geneviève and their eldest son David work together for the best result. Thanks to some precious tips of his godfather Henri Bonneau, Claude manages to extract the magnificent tannins and aromas of the Grenache grape-variety, glory of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
At Clos des Brusquières, the on average 60 year old vine is planted on the hillside of Châteauneuf, near Cabrières and Mont-Redon. Here the clay-rich pebbles are particularily favourable to the production of full-bodied red wine. Claude Courtil produces a single cuvée also adding a little bit of white grape varieties in order to provide some finesse to the wine. Fantastic result ! |
