It is everywhere the same situation in the south of France. The weather turns warmer and the alcohol content in the wine gets every year higher. Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines are traditionnaly rich and concentrated and this warming trend leads to alcohol levels that you had never heard of before.

Do not be scared though ! Because in the same time the grape picking takes place earlier and that gives some extra acidity to the wine. At the end only the balance matters and the degree that you can read on the wine label does not mean anything on itself.

Clos des Brusquières Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2007 will be released in two years time. I personnaly recommend this wine already !
