10-09-2007 Guide Hachette Coup de Coeur !

When they have a good vintage, Domaine Baguiers produces 25 hectolitres of the so-called Cuvée Gaston Jourdan, a 100% Mourvèdre long keeping potential wine. Cuvée Gaston Jourdan honours the grand-father of Claudine and Franck who are now leading the family-run property.

1998, 1999, 2001 et 2004 were the last vintages for Cuvée Gaston Jourdan. Guide Hachette 2008 just rewarded Cuvée Gaston Jourdan 2004 with its ultimate coup de coeur. This wine should be cellared during a few years to give time to the Bandol famous grape variety Mourvèdre to gain in intensity and finesse.

A new award for Domaine Baguiers that keeps growing. Congratulations to Domaine Baguiers and to the Jourdan family for their great work !

Bandol red from Domaine Baguiers is imported in Sweden. What a great satisfaction ! To enter the swedish market is not an easy game : you have to get through the pitiless selection of the monopoly, finishing ahead of all the reknown properties such as Domaine Tempier, Domaines Bunan, Château Pradeaux or Château de Pibarnon.

So to our swedish friends : skål !
