Welcome at Domaine de Sulauze

In the south of France, between the wild Camargue and the wonderful Provence, near Arles and the Alpilles, you will find the magnificent Domaine de Sulauze, a family-owned property covering over 500 hectares comprising woods, garrigue, some land for the bull raising and, of course, a vineyard of 27 hectares entirely in appellation Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence.
Many grapes and noble varieties are planted at Domaine de Sulauze : Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Calladoc, Cinsault and Marsellan for the reds ; Grenache blanc, Clairette, Ugni blanc and Vermentino fir the whites. This diversity allows the production of great wines in the three colours, which is one strong side of Domaine de Sulauze.

Guillaume Lefèvre has a strong personnality

The Lefèvre family is famous in Marseille and the surroundings for having provided generations of top architects. Guillaume Lefèvre attracted by the wine world has chosen a different way. After many work experiences with the most talented winegrowers in Provence, Guillaume seizes in 2004 the opportunity to run his own business when Domaijne de Sulauze appears to be on the market.
Together with his wife Karina, Guillaume brings all his knowledge, will and talent. Within just a few years, some fantastic cuvées are already produced at Domaine de Sulauze and vintage 2008 is the reward of all the work and energy put into the vineyard : Guillaume feels that his wines are close to what he has in mind and doesn't longer hestitate to sign his best cuvées "Guillaume Lefèvre".

Biodynamy as golden rule for Sulauze

As you walk around the land at Domaine de Sulauze you can not believe what you see : thousands of plant and animal species living together just like in a fairy tale !
In the winter, bulls on the property bring the manure necessary to enrich the ground and strengthen plants. A few months later grass and wild flowers grow around the vine stocks which brings joy to insects like bees and ladybirds who will in turn catch vermin and pests. Grass and flowers dry up during summer heats it is time to make hay that will nourish the bulls during winter...
At Domaine de Sulauze, grapes grow and ripen naturally to ensure for eternity the production of pure and delicious wines.
